The Brotherhood of KAD began as a cigar club formed by friends who gathererd on Friday nights after work hours to socialize at "The Kitchen" restaurant owned by Chef Bruce Rollins in the Algiers neighborhood of New Orleans . They gathered to enjoy conversations, share stories and discuss issues that matter to them the most. The conversations often led to a call for action to give back and improve the neighborhood they love. The men saw a need to contribute and build their community. They decided to take action and meet the need by forming the Brotherhood of KAD.
